Excellent film indeed. Don't know what Jaxe is on about, if you don't like these kind of movies. Don't watch them and maybe those CW DC tv shows are more for you. If you wanna complain about something, complain about how those crap shows ruin the DC universe. But Roland Emmerich makes good movies in my opinion. Independence day resurgence was a great follow up to the first movie as well. Sure Will Smith was missed, but hey he is into other kind of movies these days so nothing you can do about it. He missed out. Cant wait for part 3! Anyways, my point is you like these movies for what they are or you don't. No need to write a bunch of nonsense about it which is just your own opinion. |
Thanks, it's watchable... Very low video quality for the size though, too much banding/blocking like it was encoded using the Veryfast preset or higher. All other encodes derive from this source, so will wait for a better one! |
Thanks for the warning. Was about to download this copy because of the file size. |
Turn the brightness or contrast down low enough and you won't notice it... Gonna try the ESZC release, it's only slightly bigger but there's a chance they took their time with it. Still haven't found a BIG copy though. The movie itself was okay, nothing spectacular. Decent CGI. Plot panders to conspiracy theorists. |
ESCZ release looks mighty fine. Will make my proper encodes from that one! |
Director Roland Emmerich, the purveyor of by the number recycled disaster films. Every one of his movies use the same template and outline. The only things that changes with each one of his latest film is the cast and the location setting. This is your standard Roland Emmerich big noisy loud CGI overloaded disaster film. If you have seen his other movies like Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow, Godzilla 1998, 2012.... you've already seen this: 38% out of 100% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes which makes this film a rotten tomato. Some of the reviews: 1. In the credits for Moonfall, theres at least one astronaut consultant listed, but most of the film feels like a sustained dare to create the least realistic space movie ever made. 2. This is for people who want to see landscapes blow up and large things dropped onto other large things. Those are the only pleasures on offer. 3. Moonfall is every bit as big, loud and stupid as you'd expect, but Roland Emmerich's latest disaster epic is also an unforgivably dull slog. 4. The plot makes very little sense, the dialogue is awful, the twists are hilarious when they shouldnt be it might be one of those so bad its good films for some people. For me, its just bad. 5. The basic plot the moon is falling out of orbit is silly enough. But writer/director Roland Emmerich also ladles on a planetoids worth of crank theories about ancient aliens and sentient AIs cribbed from other, better films. 6. This film is totally stupid, but perhaps not stupid enough. 7. Emmerich delivers the goods in two hours, a shorter running time than his better-known adventures. That would be good news if Moonfall didn't feel like a three-hour movie cut down to two. |
