The Montreal band Mantis (Mantis) was formed in 1971 and immediately released their first single, the song from which "National Blues" hit the top 30 of Canada's top 30 songs. After this success, a contract was signed with them for the release of the album, but the producers were horrified by the fact that the group, in addition to the two songs released on the single, had only one more thing. As a result, their only album was not released until 1973 as material accumulated. And although the album had an interesting song "Hollywood Eyes", which hit the top ten charts in Canada, the group broke up. The album is very rare and has not yet been released on CD.
