A hot new album from these classy American rockers will be good news for all fans of Frijid Pink, a band that first came to fame when they hit with ‘House Of The Rising Sun’ back in 1970. The band was revived in 2006 by original drummer Rick Stevers and now includes Phil McIlvenna (guitar, harmonica and lead vocals), Ricky Houke (lead guitar and lead vocals, Joe Gillis (keyboards) and Brent Austin (bass and vocals).
The revived group revels in the chemistry that only seasoned professionals can produce. Their new album features some old favourites together with a bunch of new tunes well crafted and produced. The Detroit based outfit has honed the material by playing club gigs in Michigan and Ohio recently and so it sounds hotter than ‘frijid’ – so defrost your ears with a blast of Pink noise!
