 | . Oh what memories. I first heard the title track on the radio (well,part of it as it was rather long) probably in 1968. Before long I managed to get my hands on the album and we could soon recite word-for-word the entire 18 minutes of the title track which was the whole of side one. . The following year the film was released and we lucky folk got to see it as the Friday midnight movie at the cinema in Farnham, Surrey. It's possible that we were under the influence of mind-altering chemicals but that only added to the enjoyment  If my memory serves me correctly 3 car-loads of us all sang the title track much to the surprise of the "sober" members of the audience.. Enjoy the album and get your hands on the film - it is very funny! . |
