🎉Happy New Year 88! and nighthawk and OPQuest 🍷🍾 Lovin' this one. Back in the early 70s, I would bug my mom to buy breakfast cereal with the free 33s on the back. After (or even before!) gobbling down the cereal, you would take a pair of scissors, cut out the 33, place it on your cheap plastic record player, and Voila! Instant party, cuz' who needs booze and weed when you're only ten years old? For people who are too young to remember the TV show, but still wanna be cool: check out track #1 (the Monkees theme song), Last Train To Clarksville and I'm A Believer. Play them each three times loudly, and you too will be a believer. Guaranteed to turn any frown upside down. Nice share, thank you vtwin88cube Image posted (hover mouse here to see) Part of a healthy breakfast! |
I only got watched the Monkees in syndication re-runs, they ended 4 years before I was born, but I loved watching them and singing along. Thanks! |
Thanks so much for sharing and seeding this fantastic album. I know I have either a few cassettes or lps, but they've gone into hiding.... safe keeping I also read the other comments and remember the banana splits show and of course the partridge family, and so many other great shows that were around back then. Theses guys songs remain one thing the memory doesnt forget.... well it does but soon as you hear it starting you remember the days. We were ripped off here in Oz, either that or Mum didn't have money to buy cereals with great freebies. Will seed as always do too! |
@ vtwin88cube We're not old. We're wise. PS: re: The Partridge Family, I had a mad crush on Marcia. |
