A one-plate brass rock band from San Francisco with some Latin influences and literate guitar playing, formerly known as The Prophets. Later, Tom Catalano formed his own label, TomCat, and worked with Nancy Sevins, vocalist for Sweetwater. All the songs on the album are written by frontman Abel Sanchez and feel a little the same, lacking catchy melodies that would make you put on vinyl over and over again. However, the album was never released on CD.
Delicious guitar and moderately funky melodies here. "Searching For The Light" sounds like B.T.O. with copper. “I’d Still Be With Her” sounds like Matt Berry would write for the brilliant show Toast Of London. You could say that their drummer is a little monotonous (some of the drum inserts make you chuckle), and perhaps with a different songwriter in the band, they could create something that stood out more from the richness of the early 70s music scene.
