 | Howdy folks! POSSIBLE SPOILERS BELOW Just finished this and wanted to pop in here with a brief review. If you download this movie based on the official plot description above, you may be disappointed. This is NOT a science-fiction movie about 'alien encounters'. The 'decorated Marine' is actually an ex-con, fresh out of prison and the father of two young boys, who suffers from some kind of mental illness. Possibly Schizophrenia or PTSD? The plot in a nutshell: Dad suffers a psychotic break, grabs his sons while they're asleep and takes them on a wild road trip, while hallucinating about an imaginary invasion of parasitic insects. Looking on the positive side, I thought the story was worthwhile and well told. Credible performance by Riz Ahmed. A/V is excellent. Subtitles are included. End credits begin at 1 hour and 43 minutes. Cut to the chase: I enjoyed the movie but it was NOT what I was expecting. If you're okay with movies that 'aren't what they seem to be on the surface', then by all means, go for it. Thanks, GalaxyRG.  |

| Forget issues about description, misleading marketing, si-fi or not si-fi, etc. This film is a monumental bore which, drags, drags and drags again, going around in meaningless circles, paper thin plot, if plot there is, endless , pointless yap with the kids. A lot of screen time wasted on little or nothing in particular. What was Riz Amedh thinking of in accepting this third rate role after the brilliance displayed in " Sound Of Metal "? Has he lost his senses ? Poor judgement, an extremely very bad career move to be associated with this dismal non-starter, doomed to sink without trace. |

Jeepers some comments make this movie sound like its going to be crappy! I am going to download it and go by all the five stars its been given and hope I will enjoy it just the same, even if it isn't as the cover appears I bypassed your review Kentk9, You are always good at leaving a good comment on whether the movie or series is worth watching but this time as you put a spoiler alert, I thought....  I won't read it, just incase I end up giving it a miss |

| @Guest-6145, yes it was clearly marketed as a sci-fi movie. Hell, even the beginning of the movie shows meteors crashing to earth and then microscopic creatures infecting hosts and multiplying, before the lead character is even introduced. For once, I wish I had read spoilers before watching a movie. Was really annoyed once I realized what this actually was, half way into the movie. |
