A little bit different, it kept me interested until the end, worth a watch in my opinion. |
Good Catch, john46. I didn't catch him in the screenshots at first. I see Barbra Streisand's in the screenshots , too, but she didn't get a credit mention either. |
PLOT SPOILER A around the 45 minute mark just a you think that this is kind of derivative and you have seen it all before and are about to bail the plot takes a sudden turn and delivers enough to see it through to the end Some reviewers over on IMDB haven given this a right panning The little girl is singled out for opprobrium but cut her some slack with all those heavy 'I will never see Papa again scenes Even the kid in Hereditary wasn't perfect, nor even Quiet Place, but the kid on The Road pulled it off more or less. In the recent A Killing of Two Lovers the kids gave a natural performance especially with all the long shots. It may be that they felt less pressure so it was easy to coax a good performance out of them in a low budget as supposed to a flick starring Emily Blunt or Nic Cage. I say this because dodgy acting especially by kids and animals can't really drag a flick down. Talking of animals, Toby the Cat pulled off a masterclass in this This is watchable enough, some gore, automobiles going up in flames, a good dose of drama, and enough twists and turns to hold the interest up until the last few minutes. Nothing ground-breaking but OK run-of-the mill stuff |
