I had no problems with image/audio quality. So watch it, sure, but don't expect too much, and maybe then go back to Dr No and start all over again. No Time to Die comes across as the last gasp of the Bond franchise. Ana de Armas is an appealing character, but where does she disappear to? The bad guy is bad because he's a bit sad about something or other? They should have got Mike Myers to play Dr Evil. And while the wonderful Phoebe Waller-Bridge is credited as one of the scriptwriters, her stuff does not seem to have made it past the editorial committee. Note to future social historians: around 2020 women in real life actually did remove their garments to engage in conjugal relations, it's only in the movies that they acted like it was still the 1930s under the censorship of the Hays Committee. |

I don't want to get too specific, so as not to ruin it for anyone. I liked it, but I'm biased towards any 007 movie. This was the best one in quite awhile. Daniel Craig is a good actor, and he had a chance to play a more than one dimensional Bond this time. Plenty of action, for sure. Don't think I've ever seen an action sequence with a child involved. That was different. There were the usual attempts at Bond humor. Not as good as Roger Moore, but a nice touch. Ana de Armas was very hot, and as James would say, "excellent." The villain, played by Rami Malek was a bit bland at first, but became more hateful as the movie went on. The movie ran for almost 2 hours and 50 minutes, but it didn't drag. The theme song was really good. I won't say who sung it. I won't write anything further to avoid spoilers. I liked it, a lot. An easy 7 out of 10. |
