This is a limited edition live album, recorded at The Budokan in Tokyo in 1995, featuring John Entwistle, R.I.P. (formerly of The Who), Mark Farner (Grand Funk Railroad) Randy Bachman (Bachman-Turner Overdrive) Felix Cavaliere (The Rascals) Zak Starkey, who is Ringo's son, and played drums for The Who, Mark Rivera, who played the saxophone for Billy Joel and Foreigner and last but not least, Billy Preston on keyboards, who is sometimes referred to as 'the fifth Beatle'. If you're a Beatle's fan, or a fan of any of the dudes or bands mentioned above, this will make a nice addition to your collection. But remember, it's a live gig recorded in 1995. The sound is okay but don't expect studio quality. Think of it as a rock n' roll time capsule and you won't be disappointed. Thank you, pmedia. 🎸🎶 😎 Image posted (hover mouse here to see) |
. Thanks for sharing. . There is one track which brings back particular memories every time I hear it - Boris The Spider, I think this was John Entwistle's first song to get on a Who album. . In the late 60's we were at a boozy house party in Fleet, Hampshire, UK. During the evening my mate ducked into one of the bedrooms with a young lady. The Who album was playing on the sound system - not a Dansette record player but something that made the walls shake . My mate returned to the bar a little later and told us that when Boris The Spider was playing he and his new friend were bonking in time to the music - he reckoned that the distinctive beat was absolutely perfect . Thanks for the memories . |
