 | The trailer l kss good and the movie has a score of 7.5/3.5K over on IMDB And according to IMDB this movie is from way back in 2019  Some reviewers are saying this is way better than '1917' I have my doubts  but going to take it for a spin anyway  |

| No knowing much, well, anything about the history of World War 2  I found the relationships between the various protagonists unfathomable I could make out that they were Latvians, Estonians, Reds (Soviets) and Germans Part of the crux of the plot was some of the protagonists switching sides I am not in agreement with the reviews over on IMDB that say the acting was bad  If you want to see bad acting watch a porno  Then, and only then, can you complain about 'bad acting' This is a lot more realistic than Saving Private Ryan (although that flick did have a lot bigger budget) The bullets flying looked realistic as did the dying, and there was a lot of that including an execution by firing squad scene The beginning with the German in the homestead and the kid hiding under the table reminded me of the opening scenes of the Quentin Tarantino Pitt starring Brad Pitt - 'Inglorious Basterds' There is nothing schmalzy in this, red colour tones like you see in Steven Speilberg movies, soppy  love stories One of the soldiers has his eye on a girl, Martha but that is as far as romance goes in this, and oh, some of the soldiers get a letter (with parts cut out (censored) from their gal back home who had no doubt seeing someone else On the end credits (kind of hard to make out ) it lists 'Volunteer Background Actors' - there must be gazillions of them listed In summing up this is a decent enough movie, it you like this genre of films it is definitely worth a watch |

 | Massive thank you GalaxyRG for the upload. A/V 10/10 My Review 7.9/10 This is an awesome movie, if you can get past the subtitles. I am not a fan of subtitles and passed on movies all the time, but, i love war films, especially true storys, plus i was familiar with the aspects of the war they fought. Im so glad i decided to download and watch this, acting is great, never heard of the actors but i guess they are big where they come from. Cinematography is off the scale, how they blended everything in i dont know,but it was definetly on par with saving private ryan if not better, the special effects were awesome. i was gripped all the way through, it totally had me. Dont pass this up, as i said if you can put up with the subs you will enjoy a grat movie. |

| I haven't watched this in full but have skipped through and did stumble upon a couple of nail-biting scenes Just from a quick reconnaissance mission  I would venture like Ghostface said that this is better than Saving Private Ryan Whatever, this is definitely not some  'Amityville movie |
