According to the great Oracle IMDB this production first manifested as a TV series |
I don't get why the lead actor ( James Weber Brown) who appears in almost every frame is listed at the bottom of the cast list I wonder where the get the old cars from to fill up the motorwa or are they CGIed in? |
If you want a thriller this is way better than watching that Jimmy Bond rubbish Even the sex is way better than Jimmy Bond In fact the sex scenes will make you orgasm they are that in your face |
@ Guest-2331 'Silent hours' also doubles as when the killer struck But good movie, glad I dumped Jimmy Bond for this |
This is a good Brit thriller... with a token Yank forensic officer thrown in More twists and turns than a race-track chicane It is one of those you-think-it-is-all-over but there is still 15 minutes runtime left At times it will remind you of Saw, Se7en, Silence of the Lambs and Don't Look Now to name but a few Had never heard of this James Weber Brown who plays the lead despite being bottom in the cast list but the voice seems familiar apparently he is a prolific 'voice-over man' There are even a couple of Weber-Browns (any relation ? ) listed as 'funeral mourners' Weber-Brown must have dyed his hair for this since he is solid gray in his IMDB pic (par for the course for a 50-year-old ) Mark Greenstreet, the Director takes on a multitude of tasks, so many to name in the credits that they have resorted to using a block-style to list them The same surnames cropping up appear to be a recurring theme in the end credits This is set in the early naughties (OOs) so they are using old tech, cassettes etc. but still have laptops and mobile phone since they were around then, so it is a heady mix of old and new school tech Viewer discretion required: Contains some sex scenes and graphic scenes |
'Silent hours' is the time when the ship is 'asleep', or what us landlubbers call the night-shift, silent because they don't ring any bells, only emergency announcements can be made |
Yep. the part with the girl or was it a woman in the hooded coat was very reminiscent of Don't L k Now A bit of The Collector in there too The over 2 and a half hours runtime just flew in |
