The film takes place over the course of a single morning in a 911 dispatch call center. Call operator Joe Baylor (Gyllenhaal) tries to save a caller in grave danger-but he soon discovers that nothing is as it seems, and facing the truth is the only way out.
GENERAL INFO Genre: Drama, Crime, Thriller Director: Antoine Fuqua Stars: Jake Gyllenhaal, Riley Keough, Ethan Hawke, Peter Sarsgaard, Paul Dano Plot: A demoted police officer assigned to a call dispatch desk is conflicted when he receives an emergency phone call from a kidnapped woman.
The call centre set-up was realistic (having worked in an 911 centre) even down to the menus on the screen and the keypad Not so sure about giant fires on the screen though As for the substance of the movie while Gyllenhaal thrusts himself into the role with energy, you can sense his awareness that his acting has to carry the whole shebang , like a chef in the kitchen doing every last job. He’s entertaining, but guilty , like The Guilty , of throwing nuance in the bin. And I hear that Gyllenhaal is big on 'nuance' Guilty as charged your Honour!

This is probably one the worst movies I've watched this year. Definitely skip this one.
Made me want to stop watching movies.
