 | @ Guest-1543 NHS 111 is just a 'gatekeeper'  , a 'roadblock' Same as the doctor's receptionist is just a gatekeeper to prevent you seeing a doctor, and the doctor is another gatekeeper to prevent you seeing a consultant  Doctors get paid bonuses for non-referals to consultants. One thing that stuck in my craw with this movie was when the carer was told that a 'clinician' would phone back in whenever they could be bothered. I had exactly the same experience recently when I was experiencing severe chest pains. I was told that a 'clinician' would phone back. They did - 6 hours later! You could be dead by then! This is how they play with language, doctors have been replaced with 'clinicians'. The dictionary definition of 'clinician' is 'someone who deals with patients as opposed to a 'technician' who is laboratory based. When the word 'clinician' was mentioned it probably flew over most viewers but it rang through me like a dose of salts. Kudos to the writer for realism and doing their research. Excellent movie. |

| If by some miracle you ever manage to get through to NHS 111 they will only tell you that someone will call you back in 8 hours! The same as happened to the carer in this movie  Very true to life and absolutely outrageous. And stupid people were actually out clapping for the 'wonderful NHS', the same 'wonderful NHS' that was letting residents die in care homes. This story needed to be told! |

 | To all those dunking on the NHS, it may be a flawed system but at least it covers all citizens unlike the American healthcare system that leaves millions uninsured and because healthcare is tied to employment about 40 million Americans lost their healthcare insurance during the COVID pandemic. During a non-COVID year about 70.000 Americans die because they can't afford healthcare. |

| I actually rang the NHS 111 number whilst this was playing and the movie was spot on, the message said it would take 90 minutes to answer the call and I would bet that it would cut-off after 90 minutes without anyone answering because that is always the case Utterly,
utterly outrageous Goodness knows how long the call waiting time was during the time period that this movie was set in |

 | I downloaded this movie last night, and watched it. I give the movie a 9...the audio and video a 10 each, and the "realism" of the movie a 9. It was very true to how things were in the beginning of the covid-19 in care homes, as I worked in one for 27 years. (just recently retired) Well acted. Thanks uploader, for this one ! Cheers |
