| there is a lot of crap finding its way into the left hand column but if its above 6 on imdb thats nornally a worthy indicator ....I will try and watch and write a review unless reaper beats me to it ......much respect TG and ALL crew!!! |

| Apart from the preview & the first 10 minutes I've watched so far. Looks like I'll be rating this as better than 1/2 decent. Be back to edit and finish this review in 90 (ish) mins. ;) After watching it all. I can't help but to notice some subtle salutes to "kung Fu" from the 70's. It has the same pace, uses lots of distant shots and slow but purposeful dialogue. Unusual for me to miss a movie like this and with Imdb rating it at 6.3, there must've been a small, but dedicated, cult following. Took ne a minute to realize that Geoffrey Rush was not only narrating but also the ornery town drunk. Oscar material? No way. But I didn't feel like I wasted my time either. A & V worthy of a solid 9 - Movie an overall 6. |
