 | If you're wondering what this is, I'll save you the trouble of having to Google it.  This is a four song EP - and a preview of their upcoming new album, LIBERTÉ, due to be released on October 1st. Had some free time and checked out all four tracks today. Old-timers who grew up with The Doobie Brothers in the 1970s and 80s will recognize Tom Johnston's vocals right away, but three out of four tracks have an undeniable 'country vibe' going on, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Just different. If you are in the USA, they're planning to kick off a 50 year anniversary tour, beginning in Des Moines Iowa on August 22nd, featuring former bandmate Michael McDonald, who had a string of hit singles in the 1980s, including 'What a Fool Believes', 'On My Own' (with Patti Labelle), 'I Keep Forgettin', 'Minute By Minute' and 'Yah Mo B There' - featuring the late James Ingram.
