thank you kentk9 for your review. Were any humans injured during the filming of this film when they were subjected to eating grasshoppers? In China and other Asian countries, Grasshoppers are considered good eating. They are eaten deep fried, stir fried, grilled on a stick like a kabob and even chocolate covered. YUMMY YUMMY BUT NOT FOR MY TUMMY! |
Lol! At the comments and thanks kentk9 for sharing the Great Yummy Menu pic, that will forever be burnt onto my eyes and into my brain now of all those Ewwww creepier now than before crawlies. Just seeing so many in a gathering together even though it is as a food makes me shiver. Wish there had been a platter of fries covering them! |
Who doesn't love a creepy French movie starring blood thirsty locusts? Count me in. I watched it this afternoon and have to agree with Alien901. The ending was just okay. It could have been more dramatic. The story was interesting and the acting is fairly decent but here's why this movie fails, imho: it's NOT scary enough to satisfy diehard horror fans - and not dramatic enough to satisfy fans of the action / thriller genre. So in the end, it's just a mildly creepy flick about an obsessive mother and her brooding teenage daughter. The dubbed audio is typically bad, but not a deal-breaker. A/V is otherwise fine and dandy. Rating it 6/10 for at least making an effort. Thanks, GalaxyRG. 🥂 PS: I'm sure no animals were 'actually' injured in the making of this film. |
The end could be more better .the idea of movie is actually good ,but execution id poor, alot of decisions doesnt make sense.the film is kinda uncomfortable.the death of animals is needless |
Those with picky taste pallets won't survive when disaster strikes in a world that's heading for climate catastrophe and nuclear conflict. Survival scenario's will make every protein filled creepy crawley appear like delicatessen. |
I reverse search that image, kentk9 and Google matched it to this. Think I will be sick https://www.chasingtravel.com/thai-street-food/ |
@ Cyberian Howdy bud! If they're covered in melted cheese and served with waffle fries and a pickle, I'll try anything. |
Not as bad as that other movie, can't remember the name, where they were collecting bugs; beetles, flies, spiders in a jam jar to live of off. The bottom of the jar was barely covered an done of the characters remarked: "That is enough to last us for a week " And that was a family of six This movie like the other one is what they call 'predictive programming' |
@ jaxe I hear ya, bud. Gives me nightmares. Image posted (hover mouse here to see) |
