 | A/V = 9/10 Thanks for the upload GalaxyRG Great as always. But the movie itself? I started watching this, then fell asleep after about 30 minutes. I woke up and zapped back to where I remembered a scene, and carried on from there. I couldn't help but feel that the idea promised a lot, but just never delivered. Without spoilers, I was really let-down by the ending. Why? Is a question that keeps echoing around my head after watching this. Yes, why did I bother carrying on with it? And what happened to the different aspects of the narrative that just seemed to go nowhere? Overall, a rather frustrating, "nothing" sort of a movie really. |

 | Thanks TGx for another great week, fantastic content as always, much appreciated! I always try to look for something positive out of a film, however to provide a true rating please see below, as I won't add any spoilers here! Thought "John and the Hole" to be very slow and drawn out for a drama. How it did well in the "Cannes" is not surprising since other movies that have been dry as well IMHO have won awards or have been nominated. Perhaps there is a good theme that one can draw, and that would be a greater appreciation for life, and some thought provoking afterwards, but certainly those same theme comes from much better flicks. The torrent was great and the 4:3 Aspect Ratio wasn't a distraction for me, so I gave it 5 stars or A/V=10 . Unfortunately the movie being slow, I can't agree with the ratings on IMDb which were in the 6.0's thus far. I don't try to rate movies that I don't care for to much, but thought this may save people some time, or maybe some may even like it for what it's worth?! Anyway M=4.0 |
