Is this as good as ' The Guns of Navarone' ? Like one of those movies you watch over and over again even though you know every inch of the plot |
@Guest-6549: this is so bad it's even worse than the controversial big budget WW2 film Force 10 From Navarone. |

I can't believe SHOUT! Factory put their name on this trash! https://www.shoutfactory.com/product/the-rebels-of-pt-218?product_id=7634 From IMDB PT-218: THE REBELS OF WWII not only tells a true story I think the only part that's true is there really was a PT-218 http://www.navsource.org/archives/12/05218.htm Also General Bradley, Army Corps General at the time in 1943, giving direct order to a Navy crew? I doubt it. |
Eric Roberts + one of the 30 Baldwin brothers plus the only angry Hispanic working in Hollywood... |
The PT boats were wooden, but not as much as the acting in this waste of everybody's time. |
my God !! This has to be the worst war film I have ever tried to watch and I am 72.These established actors must be in dire need of cash to act in this terrible crap |
Sunken jaw roberts goes deeper in the deep than the ships they sink terrible movie |
@ JAXE : "Also General Bradley, Army Corps General at the time in 1943, giving direct order to a Navy crew? I doubt it." You know little or nothing about the U.S. military command structure during WW2. There was cross-branch command capability then as there still is today, during any conflict the U.S. military is engaged in. Any senior command officer, whether General Officers or Flag Officers (or GFO's as they're called), can issue orders to any branch during wartime, or in peacetime as the situation may require. Did you seriously think PT boat crew would or could tell a General Officer "No, you're not the boss of us."??? Refusing to obey a direct order from a senior officer of any branch was, and still is, an offense that will get you arrested, court martialed, or possibly worse. |
