Peninsula, il film diretto da  Sang-ho Yeon, è ambientato nella penisola coreana quattro anni dopo le vicende narrate nello zombie movie "Train to Busan", diretto dallo stesso regista.
Jung-seok (Dong-Won Gang), è un ex soldato che era riuscito ad abbandonare il paese durante l'epidemia zombie, per rifugiarsi all'estero. L'uomo è ora costretto a rientrare in Corea perché gli è stata assegnata una missione speciale con l'obiettivo di effettuare un recupero.
Una volta sul posto Jung-seok, con grande sorpresa, si renderà conto che nel paese ormai isolato del resto del mondo, ci sono dei sopravvissuti umani.
