PLOT SPOILER Slower than death warmed up The only time it got moving was the descent down the bore-hole Now, that was fast : And why were they still running Windows 1950 on their computers |
Super deep philosophical contemplations here in the comment section. Unfortunately the future of humanity seems too firmly in the hands of corporate oligarchs, plutocrat bankers and the warmongering politicians that serve them. Humanity needs to wake up and break the stranglehold of the powers that be. |
@ Guest-3749 I agree that it is now where near as good as Come and See or Lilya 4-ever but that is kind of a high bar It is still kind of watchable enough in a popcorn movie kinda way that you don't pay too much attention to and don't expect much off, although almost 2 hours runtime is kind of stretching it a bit. The dubbing, was it dubbing? was pretty good, I have seen a lot worse even in Russian movies But I did 'overhear' the girl in the poster speak what I assume to be Russian a couple of times |
Yep, this movie is not up there with Come and See or Lilya 4-ever not by a long chalk |
Oh come on, what 'inner earth'? A flat objet has no 'inner'. Everyone knows that. |
Just finished this and wanted to drop by with a few brief comments. Let me begin by saying that I am generally a big fan of Russian cinema, but this one missed the mark. The escaped bio-hazard plot has been done many times before, and much better. The acting is stiff and awkward, the story drags on for almost 2 hours - and the dubbed audio track is, as you would expect, not great either. About the only positive thing I can say is that some of the creature FX were okay-ish. And the sets and props looked authentic. Otherwise, I have no idea why this is currently the top seeded movie @ TGx. I guess people dig movies based on real events? My advice: just say nyet. A/V is spot-on, as usual. Rating the movie 4/10. Thanks to GalaxyRG, as always. |
yes very true we are born and then spend the rest of our lives surviving. |
The future of humanity is always in someone's hands. It's a miracle we as a human race are still here on Earth. |
I really liked the sound of this but ,in the end, too many inconsistencies for me. Pulls a make shift mask/scarf to take samples but takes absolutely no precautions in a room full of 'deadly' spores? Enters an area that requires a specially designed heat resistant suit with just a mask, then proceeds to remove mask and still survives, despite the heat killing off another person fully suited? Disappointed, the Russian alien rip off (Sputnik) was better. |
I watched this movie stoned as Fu*k not bad cant say it was great but it worked for the time period when I was really stoned! |
