Synopsis

This play was written in 1595-6 and is set in Verona, Italy, at a time when a long standing feud between two noble families - the Montagues and the Capulets - constantly breaks out into brawling on the streets. Prince Escalus, ruler of Verona, threatens terrible punishment on anyone who takes part in further violence.

  My notes

  This is from my archive collection--  it was a very small encode from a 2.6gb capture.  I still have the original capper's info and put that in the NFO for those who care to see if it is still active.  I fear it isn't.  
For access to the NFO file in the folder,  get Notepad++.  Notepad++ also will open  SRT files.
Closer to the time when the capper made this I did the recode.  It has been in torrents but not on this index where
my archive has moved.  For the new index this is a new recode not as compressed
and with some added sharpening.

  Viewing this production for the new edit I was reminded of seeing high school Summer Shakespeare productions for a number of seasons where I live and there is little accessible live theatre.
 
  The story is familiar and many versions are out there.  In this current viewing   I'll note that the interval extra reminded me a bit of "Hamlet" with Benedict Cumberbatch,  not in the telling of the play but in the extras where he visits with young performers.  With that in mind, my file share collection also includes a documentary called Shakespeare High which is well worth the viewing not just by teachers but by all.  In viewing this production perhaps the viewer will look for what this young talent has done since 2018.
