The 'traps' were certainly half-decently gruesome enough, and the 'Saw' bits that were left in brought back the memories of what a good Saw movie was all about like the picture of John Kramer lying on the desk. I wonder how much he got $paid$ because he will have been $paid$ for 'playing that part' There was even one scene with Chris Rock chained to a radiator just like the guy in the restroom in the original Saw Memories, memories of the picture house and Peggy Sue : The 'old' Saw parts really jarred with the 'new' Saw and there were some strange juxtapositions like the old Saw theme playing back-to-back with rap music What was that all about? When the ♫ rap music ♫ started towards the beginning I was about to put on the parachute and bail There was just enough 'old' Saw to keep this glued together. Chris Rock won't be winning any Oscars for sure. Such a lame attempt at 'acting'. I would have swapped him out for Brad Pitt Good to hear the old Saw theme firing up towards the end but then it segues into a rap tune As Reaper said I am sure there was some other agenda going on here, maybe something 'woke' but I couldn't be bothered trying to work it out I just wanted to watch some Saw 'Old' Saw It was like a mix of 20% old Saw mixed with 80% new Saw, just enough 'old' Saw to bring back the memories and keep us watching in order to infuse into our collective minds whatever 'woke' 'agenda' was being peddled because they knew that if they went full Tonto on 100% 'new' Saw we would have bailed within the first 10 minutes or when that pounding ♫ rap music ♫ fired up at the beginning Not a great movie by a long chalk but just about 'watchable' enough |
I felt like the way they ended the story was very rushed indeed. It was a semi decent watch with Rock and Jackson though. |
I really don't think you can get any better than 'Saw One' That was a walk in the dark -literally And we had never heard of 'Jigsaw', 'traps' or had the foggiest idea what was going on Saw One in the local picture house with Peggy Sue was my peak Saw |
Thank you GalaxyRG Nice share.. Audio 8 Video 8 For Fans of the Franchise.. This is a Lukewarm Step Back into What is Familiar .. There is an Attempt at Bringing in More of a Politically Charged Story Line.. But at the Cost of any of the Trademark Twists & Turns these Movies are Usually Full Of.. To Much Police Investigation Stuff & Not Enough Jigsaw Traps ... Not Great by Any Stretch of the Imagination.. But It is Watchable.. |
Saw endings ALWAYS feel rushed just as soon as that signature climatic music fires up It is the music that makes it feel rushed - well, that and the screenplay |
Chris Rock is certainly no Benedict Cumberbatch when it comes to acting Chris make a risible attempt at acting. He should stick to amateur dramatics |
