avatarYes, there are two different War Of The Worlds series. It's a bit confusing, no harm no foul.

I believe RavinL00n is referring to this series, which just kicked off season 2. Episodes 1, 2 and 3 are out now:

some egg on faces here for sure. this is a 3 part mini series as described, complete with screen shots that show this to be set during the victorian era, it is indeed a totally separate series that just happens to have the same name.

its not bad, the visual effects are pretty good at times, and it is more like the original books. its watchable but not exceptional

if you completely ignore both the plot and the screen shots then this will be confused for a series currently being  aired, which just happens to be called 'war of the worlds' too, except that one is set  during modern day and on-going, this is not. even the cast list is a dead giveaway. shocking
