Sorry, I didn't know there were sections missing - these are just one part of the missing subtitles. Re: non-english dialogue. If the non-english dialogue is only in one part for 1 or 2 minutes (around 53 minutes into the film) you can download the subtitles here: https://addic7ed.pro/subtitle-download/1665357 It's certainly worth downloading the subtitles for this part - the punchline is hilarious |
Greetings from the darkness once again Initially I was going to pass on this. It appears that some people have a beef with the director Allen Woody. And although I has never heard of this Allen Woody character it drew my attention so I decided to take this one out for a spin. Basically, it is a tale of two couples veering off the marital straight and narrow. If you have ever watched an Allen Woody film before which I haven't :D - never heard of the guy - you should know what to expect; the subtle humour, the pithy observations, existential philosophic discussions It is interspersed with 'dreams' i.e homages to other films filmed in black and white. I recognised the Ingmar Bergman classic 'The Seventh Seal' and the Orson Welles masterpiece - one of characters was named (Rose Bud)nick and there was a chair with that name carved into it, so that kind of gave it away. Oh yeah, and a Nic Cage masterpiece where he is fighting of stuffed toys Only joking There is some kind of obvious 'green screen' in some sequences when they are out driving. It is not like a director of Allen Woody stature, whoever he is, couldn't have wrangled a road being closed to film the scenes, so I suspect that that is another homage. It is not the kind of movie you can really criticise for the acting, direction, cinematography (must visit the place it was filmed ) , it is a movie obviously made by pros, not a high school project If you like Allen Woody's style you will love it and even if you don't get all of it and it still raises a few chuckles this is worth the price of the admission to the TgX picture house |
@ Ozrokks I was wondering if the foreign language stuff, assuming if was was real and not just a made-up language was key to the plot or at least changed the perspective in some way. But if it was real it would be nice to know what was being said in those sequences |
Loved this Fantastic funny movie Had me in tears of laughter Many thank TgX |
Wow, that is a knock-out punchline Hooks you right in then - BOOM! Leaves you reeling and punch-drunk |
Woody Allen....one of my favorite ever writer/directors.....I have been a fan of his work for decades.....Woody Allen pedo??...schmoody shmallen shmedo! ........never been found guilty of anything and has no relevance whatsoever on his artistic work.....many genius artists are highly strung, weird living and lifestyle apart from us mere mortals.....another great, complex, interesting, Woody Allen movie with (as usual, if not himself) a Woody Allen clone in the lead.......BUT, LET'S GET DOWN TO THE IMPORTANT STUFF!!....WhereTF can I get English subtitles for the foreign parts of this movie????...have searched high and low ....many sites have the (bs) Rifkins.Festival.2021.1080p.WEB-DL.DD5.1.H.264-EVO-Forced (1k) file but this is just crap.....any of my TorrGalax family able to help out please? Sorry gang....got the 57 minute subs but there is heaps of other Spanish sequences....in the artist boyfriend's studio (1hr07) earlier phone call, etc. etc......I need em all lol |
@ Guest-1820 Yeah, I don't think this was Allen Woody directorial debut. I wouldn't be surprised that he has plenty of other movies under his belt. And, I reckon the Welles Orson masterpiece is Citizen Kane. Anyway, this movie raised a smile or two so it was worth the watch. That older bloke's love interest was hot, and wherever the filming took place was luscious. Nice place for a trip. I think I may have even been in that high-up restaurant with the gorgeous views but I've been in so many places it is all a blur. Hopefully, Allen Woody will go on to have a long and successful career in movies. I eagerly anticipate his next release. |
@ Ozrokks Yep, probably all great art, literature, music, film... was produced by someone who was off their head or out of their head on something If it was left to the 'normies' we would be sailing in a dry desert. People criticise, but how many of those who criticise have ever came up with great, art, literature, music, film? Answer: none I am not one to biblethump but it would be worth reflecting on the words of Our Lord & Saviour, Jesus Christ: "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." How many of us sat on a torrent site can truly cast the first stone? Talk about calling the kettle black Anyway, to hell with someone's peccadilloes, whether real or imagined, let's just open a bag of popcorn and enjoy the movie for what it is |
If we are not to enjoy the product of anyone who has done some wrong, we would starve, freeze and bore to death. |
