| While the theatrical cut of Justice League (2017) was filmed in widescreen 1.85:1 aspect ratio, the Snyder cut is the first in the DCEU as well as one of the first mainstream films since the 1960s to be filmed in its native, full-aperture 4:3 format. This represents the original 35mm negative, originally intended by Zack Snyder and cinematographer Fabian Wagner. This also marks Snyder's first film not presented in a widescreen format, opting instead for Justice League to have the same look and feel as watching a movie in IMAX. |
