putting on streaming is nothing but disaster for all companies... unless you have something like netflix,, it does not work, so i dont think it will be on streaming soon... |
Love the debate on streaming. Reminds me of the debate over vinyl records. |
Fun fact: Daisy Ridley isn't the daughter of Ridley Scott Bet you were all thinking that |
Movie theaters will be obsolete, just like Hollywood will some day be useless as well. With the quality of AI generated images, digital rendering, deep fakes, etc, there will come a time that the human element (actors) become obsolete. We'll just create whole movies on the computer, create AI characters that never age, never ask for money, never quit, and can play a part forever. |
As previously mentioned this movie is going on streaming services soon. It will be up on all major streaming services as a rental from the 2nd of April according to the official Lionsgate Twitter page: https://twitter.com/LionsgateUK/status/1368154396031295488 For those that don't think streaming is the future, Netflix has over 200 million subscribers and costs $14/month for the SD membership. They make around $35 billion annually from subscribers now and they are still growing very quickly. Not even Disney in it's best year of cinematic releases (2019) made even close to that much with releases such as Avengers End Game (highest grossing film of all time), Lion King (remake), Frozen 2, Captain Marvel, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Toy Story 4, Aladdin and a few others. Streaming is where the money is at and is already taking over now. |
thanks for sharing been waiting ages for this finally and copys very watchable, but i think it was released on streaming sites too today, so hdrip copy . shouldnt be far away . but thx |
Guest-1063 you are wrong. Check the Netflix Income Statements, they made $25 Billion last year with less than 150 million subscribers. They grew significantly in subscribers recently (To more than 200 million subscribers) and increased the membership fees. Do the math :) |
@tensed seriously man... lmfao.... netflix do not make 35Billion ..... it is around 6 to 6.35... genius people.... and yes piracy will be easy :)) thatsway they are fans of streaming they dont pay for nothing and get all the shit for free in HD on 1st day |
@InspireNZ Son...... you are imbecile if you think studios can make 1billion $ out of 1 movie on streaming platform... ... streaming will be there always as it was earlier.. but in no way hell it will replace blockbuster... streaming will be always for bgrade movies like you are enjoying for past 1 years.. crap b grade small budget movies... and theaters s for big blockbusters .... thatsway every studio saving their 200M budget movies for theaters.. netflix amazon offer 250M for 007 no time to die, producers did not sell cuz they know they can make double or possibly triple the money with theaters and once they are done with theaters.. they can always sell to streaming platforms and make more money out it.. and then you can come here on tgx and download for free....S0N...... |
streaming is not the future son,, its just a temporary measure in pandemic... streaming is only for small budget movies or some crap big movies, universal has fast and furious 9 done since last year... if they think streaming would make them money, they would have released on streaming platforms months ago.. and they are still pushing that movie for Theaters only.....and delaying further further further.. only people say streaming is the future are those who watch torrents anyway.... streaming = loss of revenue.. and huge piracy... theaters = less piracy and huge returns... disney has black widow done since last year... you don't see them putting on disney+ don't you? the movies they did like mulan.. they ended up in shit storm of loss for studio... only animation seems to be working since its for kids mostly... so theaters will never go away.. they are here to stay.. only thing will happened its shorten theater windows.. which means after 2/3 weeks most weeks on theaters die off anyway,, but studio kept them there just because they had deals..now they will put on their streaming after 3/4 weeks to make money while movie is fresh, every big studio already made deal with cinema chains... as for warner bros... they are only doing to grain subscribers to their hbomax.. since they had lowest subs count before pandemic.. it will change shortly.. and if you don't know they are putting movies world wide in theaters 10 days early before putting on hbomax... so again theaters are only way to make Shit load of money hollywood used to make :)) aint noone gonna subscriber to all of them disney+, hbomax, netflix, amazon, etc.... :)) |
Sorry, but streaming is the future. Hell, it's already here: Warner Brothers is streaming all their movies on HBO Max now. If Hollywood can cut out the middlemen (Theaters & Cinemas), they can make even more money - by streaming to people who can't or won't go to a theater. We're talking people to busy, disabled, no way to get to a theater and nobody to go with, old people in retirement homes, and everyone in between. It wasn't until recently that they could stream movies (within the last 15 years) so everyone knew this was coming. It's the inevitable progression of technology and the industry. Cable TV was inevitable in the late 70s & 80s, movies on video tapes (VHS) was inevitable, and so is streaming. Theaters will go the way of the drive-in movie theaters. Most will disappear but there will be a few niche cinemas still around to cater to special interests and for those in the mood, but it will not be the primary driver it used to be. |
I have not seen that, from what I have read it won't be on streaming yet? do you have more info? |
well if streaming is the future like you said its more easy to pirate a movie from streaming service lol |
Yeah, just been reading a review on 'The Father' and saying it will be up for multiple Oscars and how it will be released in cinemas later this year Jeez, must have watched that months ago on here CAM mind you, great film too |
