On a bitterly cold London evening, schoolteacher Kyra Hollis (Carey Mulligan) receives an unexpected visit from her former lover, Tom Sergeant (Bill Nighy), a successful and charismatic restaurateur whose wife has recently died. One of the great things about the NTlive series is to be confronted with a new play and unexpected performances seemingly out of nowhere. For many such as myself the experience is only available from screen cappers such as the original uploader of Skylight. I have added an act break and separated out the interview to enhance the experience of the play.
