This is a decent watchable enough flick considering it cost only 5000 bucks to make. There is a jump shock at around 42 minutes in so watch out for that. In most movies like this you expect the sets to be made out of cardboard and papier mâché but nope this is filmed in a real abandoned lair of a 12th century monk or something like that :-) so no wobbly sets in sight. Most of the action expect for some scenes outside takes place in the lair. The accents were kind of strange. When Konrad first speaks to Seamus he speaks in Norwegian, Seamus says 'no speaky da Norwegian' and then they both begin speaking in English. Seamus sounds like London English, Cockney or whatever they speak in London, Konrad sounds Scottish at times 8o This is a Norwegian production and the actors do appear to be Norwegian. We should be thankful for this since it means we don't have to read subtitles of put up with awful dubbing. There is one scene where Konrad demonstrates how to deflect a knife attack which given the way the world appears to be going would be worth studying since it could save your life B) Mila, the girl provides eye-candy. The actors all do a decent job, couldn't really fault them, it is surprising that they are not better known. Not big budget James Bond special effects- James Bonds probably spends ten times more for one watch than the whole budget of this movie - but watchable and enough twists and turns to keep you interested to the arhhhhhhhhhhhhh didn't see that coming conclusion 8o:D:-@ |
