An ace face during the mod-obsessed '60s, then a '70s pop juggernaut thanks to his songwriting and guitar playing. At the time of its release, Frampton Comes Alive! was an anomaly, a multi-million-selling (mid-priced) double LP by an artist who had previously never burned up the charts with his long-players in any spectacular way. The biggest-selling live album of all time, it made Peter Frampton a household word and generated a monster hit single in "Show Me the Way." And the reason why is easy to hear: the Herd/Humble Pie graduate packed one hell of a punch on-stage -- where he was obviously the most comfortable -- and, in fact, the live versions of "Show Me the Way," "Do You Feel Like I Do," "Something's Happening," "Shine On," and other album rock staples are much more inspired, confident, and hard-hitting than the studio versions. As was later revealed, there was considerable studio doctoring of the raw live tapes, a phenomenon that set the stage for such unofficial hybrid works as Bruce Springsteen's Live/1975-85 and countless others.

One of the best live albums of all time, imho. When I was a Senior in High School, Peter Frampton came to my home town to have his sound and light show set up by Clair Brothers of Lititz, PA. No big deal, since many artists of the day came to town for that reason, including Yes, Queen, Elton John and U2. Anyway, one afternoon back in '78 or '79 - shortly after school let out - who shows up (unannounced) in the auditorium of our High School for an impromptu jam session? Yep. Peter Frampton was standing on stage in the same auditorium where I stood to graduate. So, in addition to being an epic live album brimming with memorable hits and chart-toppers, this one holds a special place in my rock n' roll heart. It was on my bucket-list to have this in 24bit FLAC. Thank you for sharing it, m8!
At that time my country was a dictatorship helped by the United States and all the allied countries that helped a fascist dictatorship but then spent millions of taxes in a secret war against countries that only wanted to have a communist economic model.
Returning to the subject, this is the first news of this musician, this music and this concert, and I consider myself almost a scholar of music from the late 60's to the present.
No offense to anyone, but until I read the comments I thought it was a fake documentary that is all the rage these days.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Great stuff right here! One of the best albums to be created, I was fortunate enough to see him live in N.Y. and play this album!
Thank you for sharing. great work! :)

Have I seen this one before? Frampton Comes Alive? Everybody in the world has Frampton Comes Alive. If you lived in the suburbs you were issued it. It came in the mail with samples of "Tide".
