 | Howdy & Season's Greetings! I usually try to find the positive aspects of every film I watch but that was challenging with this flick - and I really dig sci-fi. Gotta go with Jeeves on this one. Poor CGI, cheap looking sets and the aliens looked fake (imho). At 20 minutes, I thought about turning it off and deleting it but decided to wait and hope it got better. It didn't. At one hour and 50 minutes, it's roughly one hour and 50 minutes too long. :-@ Just my opinion, of course. Sure, we're in the middle of a pandemic and it's a small wonder any films are being made at all. That's all true, and die-hard sci-fi geeks might enjoy this, but if you were hoping for a blockbuster, this ain't it. At the moment, it's rated at 4.5/10 on IMDb - with reviews all over the place.  | @Jeeves We have had to lower our expectations. Well, at least recently. Anything you don't switch off in the first 10 minutes is a good movie, anything that you make it all the way through to the end is an excellent movie :D :-) :-@ Sometimes you have to search really hard for just one redeeming feature to offset the overall garbage quality. Back in the day, a lot of these would have been straight in the trash can :-@ Now, we give them 5 Galaxy stars and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences award them with Oscars. And maybe less quantity and more quality too B) :-@ |
