Howdy! Spot-on review by Guest-4404. Just finished it and I have to agree. This is an intense drama which tries hard *not* to be propaganda. Just don't expect non-stop action in the Hollywood sense of the word. It is generally a slow burner, with an emphasis on recounting the events leading up to the main character's capture. The tempo does pick up during the final 20 minutes. Fine performances by the actors. Audio and video were great, as usual. Rating the movie 4/5 on the TGx 5 star scale. A good ride if you're open-minded and enjoy political dramas with religious themes. Thanks, GalaxyRG. |
@ Guest-1517 When the horrid things muslims do to the christian population in a muslim countries is become "propaganda"? |
This was filmed on location in Jordan so all the streets even the scenes in the court are real and look authentic. Adds an air of realism and adds to the tension. |
Guest-1517, In the name of Allah! Peace be upon his name. If this was another one of those infernal BLM- inspired white cop beats up black man robbing a grocery store with a gun I bet you wouldn't call it "propaganda". Since when did telling the truth become propaganda? Bad things do happen in Iran, doncha know? And this is speaking as a Muslim woman. Peace :love |
Notice how there are never any American movies made about the brutality of the Saudi Arabian isIamofascist dictatorship, when they were the ones who really abducted a Washington Post journalist (Jamaal Kashogi) and cut him into pieces. But since Saudi Arabia supplies the U.S. with oil and the U.S. sells them billions of dollars in weapons, we help them commit a genocide in Yemen. Oh, and 15 of the 20 terrorists responsible for 9/11 were Saudi, yet lran is demonized because it will not sell its oil to the U.S. |
Ace movie. Cracking soundtrack too, meshes right in with the action. |
Wow, this is gripping on the edge of your seat stuff right up until the final few frames. The scenes of pure brutality will have you flinching. Twists and turns galore plotwise and through the streets. Pay no attention to the cries of 'propaganda' no doubt from those who haven't even watched the flick. Iran and its people are treated sympathetically. The 'clerics' are not portrayed overly harshly. You could argue that the movie-makers have let them off lightly [pun intended] The Iran people are portrayed as decent human beings in the main just like people the world over. There are good and bad people. It is idiotic to suggest that the people of a country are all in support of whomever or whatever regime just happens to be ruling over them. That is like suggesting that everyone here in the States supports Trump or Biden. Anyway, to hell with the politics, just buckle up and enjoy the ride :D Recommended :-@ |
