Addressing the ELEPHANT in the Room!
Often, the highlight of the MSNBC broadcast day is Rachel Maddow's hand-off to
Lawrence O'Donnell. You can learn a lot in the brief conversations these two veterans
have about the news of the day. Unfortunately, MSNBC ALWAYS edits the hand-off
OUT of the streamed versions of the two shows!
However... in the case of a guest host in either time slot, the handoff is often rather
forced, stilted, brief, or... in the case of the the handoffs this week STRAINED!!!
Did you notice this? Apparently you're not the only one. It seems MANY VIEWERS
wrote in to Ali asking him if there was some TENSION between him and Lawrence!
(YES, the handoffs were THAT AWKWARD and frankly CRINGE-WORTHY to try and
watch.)
Well, tonight Ali sets out to try and correct this issue, and aside from it seeming
somewhat "prepared ahead of time", I think the exchange was quite amazing.
I won't spoil the suspense, as to the actual REASON that Ali gave for him being
so damn uncomfortable in the handoff. You'll just have to watch it... yourself!
