 | Thanks GalaxyRG :) I'm looking forward to watching this movie and appreciate all the time and effort you have taken to put it here for everyone to have the opportunity to enjoy :D Thanks InspireNZ for your very informative comments :D and I totally agree about Charlie Hunnam being able to portray more than just a biker in movies. He is a terrific actor I think. :D I'm hoping to enjoy watching this as much as you clearly did. So hard these days to find movies with stories that aren't 'remakes' or same old, same old! :) And it's also nice to watch something out of the box (if I'm not repeating myself), that's different to what you expect and that we all can get something out of. :D |

 | I really enjoyed this film it's in no way ur usual boxing movie so if hard-hitting action is what you are after this isn't the film for you. This is a slow burn and the story is not new in that sense it can be predictable. what separated this film from others of its kind was the delivery, Charlie Hunnam who plays the older brother Stanley Kaminski again shows us that he can take on any roll I'm really pleased he hasn't been stereotyped into a permanent biker roll of sorts it would have been such a waste of talent. Jack O'Connell who plays the younger brother Lion Kaminski played his part really well his delivery was great he was really able to project to the audience what it would feel like to be in his shoes. if you have ever had to struggle and no matter what you do to get ur head above water it just gets worse then you will be able to relate to this story in many ways. for some viewers most of this movie will go straight over their heads. But if you are the type of viewer that is able to get involved in a film as opposed to the film coming out of the screen to you with big flashy effects and so on then this may well be a good Sunday movie for you. I personally really enjoyed the film and was pleased to see Charlie again expanding on his acting talents so if ur a fan then it's with giving this a go if your not a fan then you might be after this. I believe this film is worth giving a go but make sure you are in the right frame of mind for a slow burn that will knock on the door of your emotions if you allow yourself to be submerged into the story. |

 | This is a quality drama. It has even got Ridley Scott on board as an executive producer. All the ingredients you need for an engaging road-trip movie are here. You could almost cry at how every time the brothers try to stand up they get knocked back down again - both literally and figuratively. Couldn't quite place where I had seen the girl before - the Brit drama 'The Dark Half' but apparently has been in lots of other stuff. The movie 'keeps it real' at all times, no lurching off into la-la land. Some blood and gore too, so if you are squeamish - watch out! This is no loud in-your-face Rocky-esque movie. It is a lot more low-key and subdued than that. Two things it does have in common with 'Rocky' is like with 'Rocky' it is somewhat predictable but not as quite as predictable as 'Rocky' :D - you might be able to guess how it ends, and a cracking tune at the end - Bruce Springsteen with 'Dream, Baby Dream', take that 'Eye of the Tiger' :-@ |
