avatarhere is neal about as delusional as anyone can be, this strategy that he claims that is "always a losing strategy" is precisely how dubya bush won in 2000. and not even merely counting, but even excluding already counted (which is clearly going to be the trump campaign's strategy). nevada doesn't matter. if the trump campaign gets georgia, and pennsylvania then all that is needed is arizona to push them over 270 while the biden campaign can't get to 270. nevada is just another insurance policy if they cannot get arizona, which is still very much up in the air. arizona is only still now 4 days later only reporting 90% as their total vote count (which is insane itself), and the difference of votes right now is a relatively tiny lead by the biden campaign of 30,000 votes with around three hundred thousand more votes to be counted. north carolina will be called for trump. georgia with over 99% of the vote counted has a microscopic 4000 vote difference in the biden campaigns advantage, there will be a recount and certainly a legal challenge as the trump campaign is doing in all the states that remain uncalled. it is true that trump cannot win without georgia and pennsylvania. after that then he needs only either arizona or nevada, losing either and winning the other will get the trump campaign over 270. the real question about this election is will there be a successful challenge of the vote in pennsylvania? there will certainly be a recount in pennsylvania, it is looking to be well within .5 difference, and in those details perhaps is where the trump campaign may win. completely assuming that the votes that were counted are indeed accurate, if the trump campaign brings a judicial challenge to the supreme court that excludes even anything close to .5% of the total vote as "illegitimate" votes, that will give them the state. in the electoral college this election is extraordinarily close. even if two of the conservative supreme court justices abstain there will still be a partisan divide in the court on that type of decision of 4-3. so idyllic, peaceful, and "wise" justice ginsburg may posthumously be the one to actually elect donald trump for a second term, the resulting legacy of the heights of women's "liberation" in the 21st century, the irony of late capitalism is unbounded.
