Often, the highlight of the MSNBC broadcast day is Rachel Maddow's hand-off to
Lawrence O'Donnell. You can learn a lot in the brief conversations these two veterans
have about the news of the day. Unfortunately, MSNBC ALWAYS edits the hand-off
OUT of the streamed versions of the two shows!
Tonight, Lawrence credits Rachel for giving him the guidance and courage to
manage to continue to report DAILY, following the surprise "victory" on Donald
Trump, 4 years ago. He confesses that he was in such a state of shock after the
Electoral Collage Trump victory, that he just had no idea how to proceed, back
then. Apparently, watching Rachel do the lead-in hour, and her kind hand-off to
Lawrence, gave him the strength to continue.
(Personal Note: I REMEMBER Lawrence O'Donnell making the FIRM PREDICTION, on
Election Eve, that we weren't going to have to look at Trump's mug another day.
He was 100% SURE and CONVINCED of this, just as he was 100% WRONG, at the time,
so sorry to say.)
