 | @jaxe sadly that seems to be the way for Hollywood over recent years. between all the remakes and live-action adaptions, it would be fair to say that Hollywood is lacking originality and creative minds instead, writers seem contempt to just reboot or prequel everything with a slight twist to the tale from there points of view Imean just look at the state of the last 3 Star Wars films it was heart breaking to see what Miss Kennedy had done to those films in her vengeance toward G.Lucas. They also need to cut back on all the messaging /woke it pushes a large audience away from many shows as tv and movies are entertainment relaxation I think people are just a bit over being lectured on how to think to feel and live. I had looked forward to Batwomen but I fast became bord with it due to well as I mentioned above but I did stick with it because there was so much more to enjoy about the show. For me what I want from superheroes is gadgets great costumes amazing villains cool vehicles loaded up with spectacular abilities and a story that isn't based around family members being dead or some rich kid felt mummy and daddy neglected them lol its time to find a new base for the superhero origin story. while I do agree tv can be a good way to deliver messages I just think they need to find a balance tone it down a little because there are some very important messages to get out there and if people are turning away from shows then the mission is failed so to speak , Tone it down reach a Larger Audience slowly does it as some say. I completely agree with your comment! to BTW :) @jaxe why did she leave? I thought Ruby Rose made an excellent Batwomen. I was a bit worried they were going to use some over the top barbie doll look-alike thankfully they got it right. So have they got it right this time with Javicia Leslie? A 33 yr old African American woman the new Batwoman is also an out lesbian and will be the first Black actor to portray the caped superhero Batwoman! :) (info age etc obtained from CW article) so far I say yes because she isn't what I just mentioned above an OTT Barbie doll And even though I did say they need the messaging toned down I also see no harm in the truth & I don't see facts as messaging that she is an African American women is a good message one I hope will empower fans especially the younger viewers so I'm hoping that we will see many seasons to come, a lot will depend on the cast adapting to changes & finding th |

These people have probably never been in Africa in their lives... She's a Black actress, its as simple as that and as long as she does a good job, who cares what colour her skin is. |
