I got to watch this a little wile back with subtitles that weren't the greatest, but passable. I really enjoyed it. Thanks for the English version, much appreciated. |
Echoing what has been written above, this was a fun ride. It combines elements of the 1998 film 'Armageddon' (with Bruce Willis et al) and the 1996 film 'The Rock' (with Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage) into a worthy science-fiction thriller. If you like doomsday scenarios with dramatic, bitter-sweet endings, you won't be disappointed. And now to the elephant in the room: the dubbed audio is not great. Dubbed audio almost never is. If it bothers you to see actors' mouths and their lines not perfectly in sync, you might want to avoid this one. For some people, I'm afraid the funky audio will be a deal-breaker. On the other hand, for die-hard science-fiction fans who are willing to overlook the dubbed audio and focus instead on the story, by all means, give it a shot. I'd rate the film a 4/5 and the audio a 1/5 (due to the icky dubbing, not the sound quality, which was fine) Let's call it a 3/5 overall. I hate math. :D Thanks, GalaxyRG. B) |
