Scooby-Doo is the hero of his own story in "SCOOB!," the first full-length, theatrical animated Scooby-Doo adventure, which reveals how he and his best friend Shaggy became two of the world's most beloved crime busters. The story takes us back to where it all began, when a young Scooby and Shaggy first meet, and team up with Velma, Daphne, and Fred to launch Mystery Incorporated.
Scooby, film diretto da Tony Cervone, è un prequel della serie animata "Scooby-Doo! Dove sei tu?" e racconta di come l'alano fifone Scooby e il suo amico Shaggy si siano incontrati fino a diventare inseparabili. La storia inoltre ci mostra come i due si siano poi uniti al resto dei componenti del gruppo di investigatori della Mystery Inc., formato da Fred, Velma e Daphne.
In questa avventura la banda di Scooby dovrà affrontare un nuovo caso: qualcuno vuole liberare il cane Cerberus nel mondo, scatenando un'apocalisse canina! Mentre la squadra cerca di salvare il pianeta, i giovani investigatori scoprono dal pedigree di Scooby che il cane è destinato a fare grandi cose...
Nella versione originale del film sarà Frank Welker a prestare la voce al personaggio di Scooby, mentre Will Forte sarà la voce di Shaggy.
