This quintessentially British sitcom is about Grace Brothers, a department store in London which is owned and kept traditional, almost pre-war (e.g. precise dress code for ladies frills and gentlemen's hats according to rank), by two brothers who look old enough to have fought in the Boer war but rarely appear, as most scenes play on one floor where Mr. Cuthbert Rumbold is the executive (meaning he enjoys an endless parade of foxy but stupid secretaries) in charge of management while his dignified floor walker, Captain Stephen Peacock, has daily charge over two small sales teams. The bossy, implicitly man-hungry widow Mrs. Betty Slocombe supervises the attractive Miss Shirley Brahms (with a terribly common Cockney accent) -with first choice of customers, on commission- the sale of women's clothes and accessories; the sales star at the gentleman's side is Mr. Wilberforce Clayborne Humpries, an implied closet-gay true gentleman, whose successive superiors are first obviously nearly retired Mr. Ernest Grainger and later formerly independent Mr. Grosman while the successive cheeky juniors are Mr. Dick Lucas and Mr. Bert Spooner. The 'original' (filmed fully four years after the BBC ditched black-and-white) was a colour production, which unfortunately had to be sacrificed in the first instance to BBC incompetence. Ye Gods and little fishes - why would anyone 'decolorize' what was meant to be in colour from the start and when the rest of the series is in colour as well? Perhaps try again and turn the filters off this time? I appreciate the quality of the your work and thank you for it but the reasons for this make no sense at all and have no basis in the history of the programme. Of course you needn't take my word for it: From iMDB: Trivia The original pilot was recorded on colour videotape as part of the Comedy Playhouse (1961) series and had a "BBC Colour" credit at the end. However the original videotape was lost or wiped, so for years the only known copy of the episode was a black-and-white film-recording. In 2008 however, technical engineers began restoring the edition to full colour by utilising the colour signal information recorded into the monochrome film print. The remastered copy was finally screened on BBC2 in 2010 during a New Year's Day celebration of the series, being seen in colour for the first time since 1972. |

| When I try t o load I can get error message saying it is an invalid torrent file. When I tried the magnet link it will just sit there for days with no connected downloading. |

| @miok I've tried a few times getting the torrent file and will get the message saying it's not a valid torrent file. If I use the magnet link it will load in my program and say there are seeds and show me connected to some but it new gets to a spot where it will actually download and I have left it there for a few days |
