The Red Arrows: Kings of the Sky Series 1
We go behind the scenes with the famous RAF squadron as it creates a new jaw-dropping display and embarks on a challenging worldwide season, showcasing the work of the ground crews and backroom staff who make it all possible.


1)  Part 1
A new team leader joins the famous squadron in Autumn 2017 and must design and develop fresh and ambitious routines for the 2018 season, which marks the 100th anniversary of the RAF.

2)  Part 2
Two pilots attempt their hair-raising head-to-head manoeuvres for the first time, as the team begin their intense winter training ahead of the RAF's Centenary celebrations. And the engineers who fly back-seat also start their own training.

3)  Part 3
The new team attempt the most daunting manoeuvre of all - rollbacks. Pilot Toby must master low-level flying upside down, and the entire team undergo their annual sea survival training.

4)  Part 4
One of the jets crashes during exercises, resulting in the tragic death of the engineer on board. The display pilot also sustains a serious injury in the process, meaning that their replacement faces an uphill struggle to be ready.

5)  Part 5
8 top fighter pilots dreaming of joining the Red Arrows are put through an intense week of flying tests and interviews. One of the Arrows is forced to make an emergency landing.

6)  Part 6
The Red Arrows face their toughest test to prove they are good enough to display to the public. Their summer season begins with one of the highest-profile appearances in their history - a royal flypast over London.
