Adding an avatar to your profile

On Torrent Galaxy you can add a avatar (also called an avy) to your profile. This image will show on your profile and it will also show when you post in the forums.

What you need to know about avy's:
  • Maximum size is 100 x 100 pixels
  • Required format is either PNG, JPG or GIF
  • 18+ Avy's must be checked as 18+ on your profile


    How to add an avy to your profile:

    Step 1: Go to your profile through the profile button at the top of the site.

    Or go to one of your posts on the forum and click on your username.

    Step 2: On your profile page click on "Settings".

    Step 3: Paste the direct link to your avy in the white box behind "Avatar img URL:".

    When you are adding an 18+ avy be sure to tick this box:

    Step 4: Click on "Submit" to add your avy.

    Getting your link to your avy from Picture Galaxy:

    Step 1: Go to imgbb and click on "Start Uploading".

    Step 2: Chose file from your computer.

    Image error

    Step 3: (only if your avy is larger then 100 px). Click on the little pencil.

    Adjust the size of the image to 100 px in the next sceen and click on submit:

    Step 4: Now click on "Upload".

    Image error

    Step 5: In the next screen use the drop-down menu and select "Direct link" if you have an account. When you don't have an account select BBcode full linked.

    Step 6: Now copy the link. You can use the "Copy" button in the right corner if you have an account and are using direct link. If you don't have an account select only the URL itself as below.

    Use this link in your account settings behind "Avatar img URL:".

    Step 7: Click on "Submit" to add your avy.

    Think that is exactly what he meant, some sites allowed Signatures to be added in profile, which could be seen in every post the member made. used to make alot of those too back in the day =)

    Thanks... yeah they are kindda cool and brings color and stuff to the site, but, might slighty slow the site having to load all the pix and all that :/
