| :warn Pawpcorn Outage! :warn In the second week of May, I've got a couple tasks to attend to, 6 days apart in Bangkok, that will require me to "unplug" from my daily posting tasks here on the "MSNBC Shows" Forum... and travel (driving) south, away from home to Bangkok. I'll be trying to squeeze a little vacation B) in-between the two task days.. to the beaches somewhat Southwest of Bangkok. :-) I'll be offline for about 8 days. On my last day at home, I'll be able to process the Saturday May 4 AM Joy show... then we're departing early, the next morning. I SHOULD be back home, in time to be able to download and process the Monday May 13 shows, if all goes as planned. IE count me out for May 5 through May 12. Sorry for the interruption! Since we seem solidly enmeshed in the Trump :-@ Clown Show Spectacular Spectacle... Lee statue in the city, as Trump again claimed earlier in the day, and instead was a gathering of white nationalists and neo-Nazis. “How many fine people arrived with combat boots and clubs and picked up torches and chanted Nazi slogans?” asked Cooper. “That’s the question. And anti-Semitic ones as well? Robert Falconer/CBS Of course, the child president isn't fully to blame here as he descends into paranoia, claiming that everyone who disobeys or contradicts him is treasonous. What this episode really wants the viewers to reckon with is the complicity of the people who attempt to make a name off the backs of celebrity candidates during dangerous campaigns and the harm that they do to others. Raff is so desperate for success that he enables a child with a YouTube account to become the most powerful person in the country, if not on Earth. It's a timely if obvious analog to the blind eye that many are willing to turn to the most horrendous acts if they entertain and benefit them. After all, as Peele's narrator reminds us with his parting words, "Razzle and dazzle people with the right lies and they'll go blind to the madness right in front of their faces."
