| mid week winter matches , floodlights beaming down onto the green green grass of home , the reduced crowd making it a more personal experience as I could get down to the fence and almost grab the attacking opponents top , we entertained some big Euro teams in the now demolished fields of play , we took Real Madrids scalp and made the Gunners miss a shot or 2 . The train down , always a pleasure to see the big boys misbehaving by singing and enjoying themselves . The long trek to the ground past all the so called ' convenience ' stores who's female patrons looked similar . A quarter of sweets for the first half and the anticipation of a hot meaty drink and a horn pie during the break . No matter what score it made football special ....and no Silent Witness VAR . That Lakaku toe of the boot ffs ....like Nicky always saying she's found the tip of the knife . About 12 years ago there was talk, in an effort to make football more exciting by generating more goals , for the referees and the line runners to give the shadow of doubt to the attacking player . Instead they went VAR . | |

| Teams mature, improve, adapt....and some teams wither, get worse, become stale... Teams like Georgia and Romania have matured just at the right time...the "Golden Generation" is going on for those two currently...now look at the rest... Spain are changing the team and dynamic so can be got at...England, Belgium, Scotland, Portugal...looked stale so far...no change of formation or players to combat different teams Romania and Georgia are loving the moment...and playing like they are too  Most of the "big name stars" just seem to be going through the motions | |

| Well after just checking the results from the group stages... What a rollercoaster! lmsn1981 takes that parts victory ๐๐ป fairly good result too, 104 points from a max 180 I think ๐๐ป well done! 2nd place would be all tied, 1 short of a 100 at 99 points... baleiron, reaper and myself. ๐ I jumped nicely from 86-99 in the last rounds. ๐๐ป And 3rd goes Barharma's way with 97 points. But it was so topsy turvey the whole way which made it good. Great job everyone. Bring on the knockouts now. ๐๐ง Are the knockouts being added in and there will be 1 result come the final or is it just like the first post says knockouts are just for fun? | |

| Yup i think...i dunno...cant even fathom what im being asked   The Knockout Round Tournament is a couple of posts underneath the League Table in the EURO thread It will be getting updated soon...before it starts on Saturday. It is a Head to Head Contest...Member v Member....one who scores the most from the questions for the match they represent will advance until there are two left in the final. Members do not have to do anything else unless there is a tie. In the event of a tie the two members will take part in a penalty shootout. Each receive a PM from me with a form and simple instructions. The results of that will decide the shootout and who advances. Any Member who does not play in the EURO comp on the day they are due to play in the Knockout Game will forfeit the match and the opponent will advance. Someone will also stroke a duck on behalf of each member during the matches , dunno what for but it sounds like the done thing during tournaments and iv'e always enjoyed stroking my duck when footie on so thats being added for sure. | ohhhhh i like the sound of the knockouts, that sounds better than a table and points. I just didn't know if the group stages league was one competition and the knockouts would be another separate one. If there was exactly 16 players the head to head random user vs random user randomly generated it would be good as you would end up with an overall winner... could also randomly generate each player with a set team from the last 16 and compare it to the euros. ๐ How far can you take your team ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ will the same team win, make it a bit more interesting ๐ Last edited by Tyser11 on 2024-06-27 22:02:56 | |

| Nothing random a boo tit Seeding is in effect ...top rank is matched against the player 8 places below them in the league.This gives you a "Favorite" and an "Underdog" and we all love a good Underdog story don't we Just pairing you all up and it'll be posted later... Currently 17 players in the league...meaning everyone gets paired and i drop out...maybe...? If any player does not play in their selected match then MY answers will be used and i will be "Substituted" in To Be Clear... There are now TWO Seperate Competitions running at the same time.... Entrants in the EURO Comp just carry on playing as normal when it restarts on Saturday...The knockout comp requires you do nothing extra as i take your scores from that and use them for both competitions from now on...same entry, different results I take it ya didnt get this far down reading in the original thread then...? Did you know the most common cause of madness is re-typing the same thing over and over again and thinking "this is the time they'll read it for sure...?"
