Its not always the same of course. Imagine having a task to migrate  site with a database of 8TB which had 2 master servers and 8 slave servers for read / write , mysql replication server and all of that was being load balanced through HAProxy.

Only that part will take more than 1 week to configure everything, harden dedicated servers and make them ready for use. Then the database move itself can take around 2 more weeks due to size and amount of servers it had to be moved to. (All tables  being innodb so it will also slow the restoration of 8tbs and split them where needeed).

Being a server administrator and developer with basics of server administrator knowledge is way different in real life environment. Its easy and fun to scale and move small sites, but when it goes this big of course there must be a considerable amount of time needed to shift everything.

So that's why KAT needs time to move properly.

I just refreshed the "under migration" page and it went to the home page. I hit Login and it let me. I can't get to the torrent side and all the topics are empty in the community side.

no one cat post unless your a bot that can click 6 to 800 times a min then you might get a post in,,  were not sure how they slipped in other then the mass amount of times we see they tried before they got lucky with one  ... that many clicks on a mins time should get ya a post,,  da is the only one i see that can seem do anything right now ...

and no right  now there putting up the threads and everything else then we can post ....
