keep the uploading of news stories happening!!!

We certainly need to include SailorPsy:_new: in the thank-you-list,
and Khwai for putting his advice into actual action, with real
results!... since we'd still be sad, depressed, and up the creek
without a paddle if they hadn't stepped up to the plate and helped us
navigate a way through the drastically revised format that MSNBC
decided to unveil, in the slow many-days-long revision... at such an
amazingly CRITICAL TIME in American History!

Trump politicizing the Corona Virus as well as the wearing of masks,
openly campaigning as though we are PAST the virus, while deriding
ANYONE with the common sense to follow the medical expert's advice to
WEAR MASKS and SOCIALLY DISTANCE... THIS guy(!) finally succumbing to
his own ill-advised actions and landing in the hospital, while infecting
HOW MANY OTHERS, at the end, seemingly KNOWINGLY, ffs... :-@

THIS EVENT and THESE EVENTS deserved to be covered by MSNBC, perhaps
the BEST NEWS GROUP ON THE PLANET, then SHARED, publicly, by our
rag-tag harried volunteer "staff" here at the MSNBC Shows Forum. YET...
that critical moment was the EXACT MOMENT when our forum... went dead. :facepalm

Anyway!!!  :D  Happier days ARE HERE AGAIN!!! We're BACK!!! :P

My own sources for the segment information (including pictures and
summaries) seems to have vanished, but being able to share the
SHOWS... is the big thing; the most important thing to do, at this
time of genuine crisis.

Hopefully I'll find suitable show information to share... later.
(anyone have a "replacement" for all the now-missing RSS pages
with the sorely-needed segment links, pics, and information?)

A couple thoughts now that the dust is beginning to settle and we're nearly back in the swing of things. It was a chore yesterday generating the master links. Hopefully they're all working for every one. A big, hearty thank you to SailorPsy without whose information, suggestions, and guidance resuming operation would not have been possible -- certainly not so soon. To be sure, I went down a couple blind alleys  but with some persistence and perseverance and yes, a little creativity, his input (no pun intended) now works with existing scripts.

Again, kudos to SailorPsy.

Also, thanks go to Pawpcorn for being the guinea pig, testing proof of concept, being the beta tester, identifying errors, and offering suggestions about how to proceed. About 12-16 hours ago, we were chatting online almost constantly throughout the process (there were meal breaks and a couple nature calls). I'm the new kid on the block. He's been doing this a lot longer. Getting up and running again truly was a team effort.

Any time an interruption like this happens is inconvenient. I remember one a year or so ago. That this one happened at this time was alarming. It really is a relief to have the shows available again.

Finally, thanks to everyone for understanding the situation, for all the attempts to fill the gap, and also for the kind words. Those kind words were most unexpected and I am grateful.

One last thought. If you haven't already done so......VOTE!

“testing negatively consistently” since Thursday. Her statement notes

    NBC Nightly News host Lester Holt will moderate Decision 2020: Joe Biden Town Hall with the democratic presidential candidate tonight, Oct. 5, at 8 p.m. ET. on NBC.

    The socially distanced town hall will be held outside of the Pérez Art Museum in Miami, Fla. This will be the second town hall Joe Biden has participated in, the first of which was a drive-in event hosted by CNN that took place in Moosic, Penn., right outside his hometown of Scranton.

    As is usual for a town hall, Biden will answer questions from both Holt and the audience representing both sides of the aisle. Last time, he received many questions about the coronavirus and the potential for a vaccine, and he will likely face more questions on that topic.

    the total number of all the people that test positive for Covid-19 as a result
    of the White House event announcing their Supreme Court nominee. This in light
    of the White House's decision to not conduct Contact Tracing, and the number of
    lesser named attendees, as well as the trickle down effect of resulting infected
    family members and friends.
