TV and Movie Torrent categories explained


There's seems to be confusion for uploaders about in which category to place a movie or TV torrent. Below you find an explanation about Torrent Galaxy movie and TV categories.


Movies

Movies - Bollywood: All movies made in India go in this category. No matter if the movie is CAM, TS, SD,HD, UHD or a pack you should use this category. This goes for Hindi movies, but also for for example Bengali, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Urdu, Punjabi and Tamil movies.
Note 1: If a non Indian movie has Hindi or other Indian languages, then it should not be in this category. Use below categories.
Note 2: Bollywood TV series and webseries do not fall under this category. Use TV categories for Bollywood TV series.

Movies - CAM/TS: All movies except Bollywood go into this category. CAM stands for Camera. TS stands for Telesync.

Movies - Packs: All torrent with multiple movies (non-Bollywood) go into this category.

Movies - SD: All movies in SD quality that are not Bollywood or packs go into this category.
Note: If an non Indian movie has Hindi or other Indian languages, then it should not be in this category. Use below categories.
Formats falling under this category are:
240 pixels high × 352 pixels wide (called 240p)
360 pixels high × 480 pixels wide (called 360p)
480 pixels high × 720 pixels wide (called 480p)

Movies - HD: All movies in HD quality that are not Bollywood or packs go into this category.
Formats falling under this category are:
720 pixels high × 1280 pixels wide (called 720p or HD Ready)
1080 pixels high × 1920 pixels wide (called 1080p or Full HD)
1440 pixels high x 2560 pixels wide (called 1440p or 2k)

Movies - 4k UHD: All movies in UHD quality that are not Bollywood or packs go into this category.
Format falling under this category is:
2160 pixels high × 3860 pixels wide (called 2160p or 4k)


TV

TV - Sports: All torrents with sports from TV go into this category.

TV - Packs: All torrents with multiple TV episodes and webseries episodes go into this category no matter the quality. Packs can be 2 Episodes but also an entire season.

TV - Episodes SD: Single TV episodes (non-sport) and webseries episodes in SD quality go into this category.
Formats falling under this category are:
352 pixels wide x 240 pixels high (called 240p)
480 pixels wide x 360 pixels high (called 360p)
720 pixels wide x 480 pixels high (called 480p)

TV - Episodes HD: Single TV episodes (non-sport), documentaries and webseries episodes in HD quality go into this category.
Formats falling under this category are:
1280 pixels wide x 720 pixels high (called 720p or HD Ready)
1920 pixels wide x 1080 pixels high (called 1080p or Full HD)
1440 pixels high x 2560 pixels wide (called 1440p or 2k)

TV - Eps 4k UHD: Single TV episodes (non-sport), documentaries and webseries episodes in UHD quality go into this category.
Format falling under this category is:

Something related to Live Theatre perfromance would help sort things.

But live plays brodcast closed to circuit to movie theatres or on things like Sky TV also having listings at IMDb.  A category which would help find in both would be good  but live theatre as a separate sub-category would be appreciated.

Recently I was confused about the listing of  " Foreign"   on the TGx mainpage but it is not in the List above.  So I marked it just as standard definition movies.

Shall this torrent (a short film that was broadcast on BBC and will (or already is) release to Apple TV+) go to the TV episodes, or to the Movies category? I see that my release was verified in Movies, and the other torrent of the same episode was verified in TV episodes...

if it is a short movie,  its a movie tv movie is a movie ...
tv is just for tv stuff episodes packs ect ..

I would put it in either movie hd (720p and above) or movie sd (below 720p)

I Just dropped to help further.....
Football in the title, it doesn't mean it's a sports content, it's story/subject based on football, and you can surely use football as tag if you want, The most easy solution to correct and adjust the category is, find, read, understand the Genre(s) tags, and chose similar category or exact if exists here or there.
Genre: Documentary > Docus: All < is the one to select as miok:_super_admin: said perfectly :_:)

Btw, It helps to understand more clearly if you try again to upload similar content....

- TV: Sports > only sports content such as WWE, football match, cricket, etc shall rest here.
- TV: Episodes > only TV-shows, TV series, dramas, seasons, shall rest here.
- HD: It's a sub category basically, based on quality, not on genre, mostly movies shall rest here if they are true HD. (though, some uploaders misleads it, lol)

Thanks to you all, have not seen the category "Docus" at all during the torrent creation
Probably E:60 Remember the Blue and Yellow should also go there...

Just to finish this off, football review programmes like my last releases of PL Years and Gary Neville's Soccerbox should stay in Sport?
