| Never been a fan of both but after reading the specs /comparison Here I think the Samsung is more of a all rounder. Even though the p20 has awesome camera features it still lacks expandable space (external SD card) If I had to choose one of these I think it would be the S9. | |

| If you ask my Nokia is my favorite but unfortunately it turns into Windows when i was waiting for another Build of 5330. LOL Yes Samsung is my 2nd favorite brand, i agree with Mafketel Samsung would be better instead Huwai, but if we talk about Pricing under good specs then Huwai known as Affordable phone, means Huawei devices with this processor are more affordable and has good reputation in mobile phone market. But in my opinion i definitely go with S9, and more than anything else i care about trusted Brand a brand that speaks itself. :) And here's the chipset Comparison between top 3 chipsets released under 2018: Here Samsung is best! | |

| Having played with both phones for 3 days i chose the P20 Pro in Twilight The brilliant Camera and the deep punchy sound with Dolby Atmos swung it for me. Both are brilliant phones though Thanks to all | |

| Samsung best after sales too. Trust me I have 2-3 Huawei phones works good 1-3 months and then just hangs. There is way difference between on paper and real life performance. Go with Samsung. Last edited by MafiaSSS on 2018-08-09 14:08:37 | |

| Does anyone have Samsung A70 or similar as the latest update seems to have created a few problems, in my case the predictive text no longer works, but I have read that battery life has been a problem in some cases https://r2.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-A/SAMSUNG-A70-after-Android-10-update/td-p/3917084 | |

| I have the A70. Got the update yesterday to Android 10 + security patch. And I did noticed that the battery does indeed drains faster than before. As for the predictive text... I don't have a problem with that. Have you checked for updates? As some need a separate update. Last edited by Mafketel on 2020-04-06 16:40:01 | |

| Thing I find crappy is that I have to update all my good working apps(on Android 9) to newer versions because they either work partly or not at all. | |

Edit... This is a hardware problem and can't be fixed with software. There are 2 things to do... 1. Get the screen fixed (replacing it) 2. Get a new phone. (depending on how old it is you might still have some warranty left..) Last edited by Mafketel on 2023-12-19 21:14:14 | |

| Some info, may be useful, may not be relevant... "Generally, the issue is caused either by software glitches or hardware damage such as the LCD component in your device, or due to some water damage or accidental dropping." There are many possibilities, but, without some specs, brand...not sure if I can offer anything but theory. Could you give us some info to work with?🏴☠️ Thanks, Johnny Edit: Maf with the speedy response 🥳🥳🥳 Last edited by xJOHNNYx on 2023-12-19 21:19:19 | |

| If its a new iphone or samsung your pretty screwed and need very private software such as cellebrite used by the law lol. If the phone is running off of a chinese media tek chipset then software such as mobileedit forensic pro can break the passcode. Also if its been rooted before with twerp, you can just boot into twerp and delete the passcode from the system files | |

| With a Android phone you'll have to do a hard reset. That's done when the phone is off. So you probably have to let it drain the battery first and then charge it again. Then you'll have to press the volume up or down (depending on the brand.. Use Google to find out) and on/off at the same time. Keep it pressed for 5/10 secs until you see the Android logo. Then the recovery menu should appear. Use volume up/down to navigate to reset to factory settings. Use on/off to confirm your choice. After the reset select reboot device and it should start back up. Then you'll have to go thru the setup as if it's new. Good luck | |

| That would lose the data though,he wants to keep it,also newer androids used to have a feature that if you reset the phone from recovery mode, youll need the email account or password that was with the old phone upon restart. Was to stop people stealing phones and hard reseting them without the password or passcode. Last edited by Barharmar on 2024-01-18 11:48:58 | |
