It is the latest version, firefox update it every couple of eeeks or so. I have tried Microsoft edge and get the following .....
Here is he url I am trying to connect to
https://firecache.nanobytes.org/get/d89d9e08a126cca4cde69fe8a8c68c7b259450cfThe+Best+Of+Van+Morrison+Vols.+1%2C+2+%26+3+%5BFLAC%5D+vtwin88cube

Cannot securely connect to this page
This might be because the site uses outdated or unsafe TLS security settings. If this keeps happening, try contacting the website’s owner.

Torrent in question working fine for me on FF

https://torrentgalaxy.to/torrent/13800173/The-Best-Of-Van-Morrison-Vols--1--2--amp--3--FLAC--vtwin88cube

your link has an error so i get 404 Not Found

Have you tried adding exceptions in firefox?

Options > Privacy and security > under Browser Privacy Content Blocking you should see the Manage exceptions Box where you can add the url to the caching service/site

https://firecache.nanobytes.org

We had 1 of our mods getting the same error (i Think) not long ago from firefox I will look for the post now

I have just checked the browser and it is the latest version of firefox, i suspect it is the one of the settings that are not updated, i will play around with those. I am using the 64bit version 69.0.

Thanks, it is a weird one because it has worked ok for the past couple of years but then suddenly stopped. I will reinstall firefox to see if that makes any difference, though why MS Edge has a similar problem I am ot sure unles they use common files ......  You have made it cleareR as To where the problem is so thanks or that.

Is your AV/Firewall possibly blocking something?

I get a similar error, but not exactly the same.

Quote:

Your connection is not secure

The owner of firecache.nanobytes.org has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.
I only get this at work, and I now believe its related to our internal IT set-up.
I could probably fix it by using my proxy, but I just use the magnet links instead.

I tried to download this file on my Android tablet using Google Chrome and get a similar sort of message. From the comments just entered I am begining to think it is down to my internet provider BT, they are the only common factor in my setup that I can think of. If it is I am not sure if a proxy would work any better.

I don't think it's down to BT....

Upon further reading I found this...

Quote:

Normally this error occurs on a website that is outdated and still supporting RC4 and having the security.tls.unrestricted_rc4_fallback preference toggled to false. Firefox will just show the SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP error when encountering any site using the RC4 cipher.

The problem with magnet links (on my client, probably the same on most) is you can only add one at a time. :(

With torrent files I can add as many as needed in one go. B)

I very rarely use magnets and have to agree with battlestar:_trusted_uploader::_sitefriend::_male::_sitelover::_junkie: ....add as many torrent as you like but you can only do one magnet at a time. And as of yet (on TGx) I have never needed to use a magnet link.

Not exactly sure what u mean :|   Don't u still have to click .torrent files one-at-a-time ?? :help

btw, am only suggesting Magnet Links......  because user was having such trouble w/ .torrent file B)

Nope, just highlight as many as you want and click open, then rapid click ok and we're good to go :D
Sorry miss read that.... you are indeed correct SweetSkunk:_blocked: .. I save a good load of torrent files on my travels for dld'ing later... that's when my statement kicks in :)

Nothing wrong with magnets, I just prefer me old torrent files B)
