You mean 1280 x 534 i think...?:)

The hight is still HD...the movie will most likely be widescreen and will have the black bars at the top and bottom removed (cropped) before encoding...which reduces the hight and saves on file size.

720px << remove bars at top and bottom = 534px

Depending on hight if its below 720p its SD

720p and above are all HD

Example

SD
240 ×352(240p)
360×480 (360p)
480×858 (480p)

HD
720×1280 (720p)
1080×1920 (1080p)
2160×3860 (2160p, or 4K)

Its classed as HD. :D

Basically, anything 720p or 1080p is HD.

However, if the aspect ratio is > 1.78 (16:9) it is then based off the width, so 1280 (and 1920) .

So in this case 1280 x 534 is HD because the aspect ratio is > 1.78 (2.40) and the width is 1280.

(and it will be labelled as 720p)
